Did your Ancestor Leave a Will?

The answer to this question lies in a thorough research of the estate indexes found at county court houses and the Georgia Estate Archives. In addition to digital images of original will documents, we are adding estate indexes for Georgia's counties. The reason is to help the researcher know if his ancestors left any kind of an estate and to save time traveling to the Georgia State Archives. Too, it is not always convenient to go to the county court house and search their records. The dream situation is to
have the county wills and estates accessible at your computer. That's what we're going for. The ultimate goal of www.georgiapioneers.com is to publish all of Georgia's county records on this website. Sure, the project is tedious and Georgia has 156 counties! However, a lot of progress has been made thus far. Hope the results help save you some time in your long endless research.
