Unbound records of Liberty County Wills and Estates from 1824 are indexed for the first time.

Mills House, Hinesville, built 1880s
An old unbound loose wills and estate records in Liberty County Georgia has been found dating from 1824.  This book went unindexed until now!  Georgia Pioneers will start listing the names of the testators and estates next week. If your family was in Liberty County, you should look at these names and see if any of them are your ancestors. Liberty County was formed after Chatham County and it's oldest wills survived. The first colonists in Georgia were in Chatham, Liberty, McIntosh and Glynn Counties. This is where to do research.
